OWNER, FILMMAKER, CHOREOGRAPHER, ARTS ADVOCATE
Jordan Gastion was born and raised in Decatur, Georgia, and is a trailblazing creative with over 8 years of teaching and choreographic experience, having taught dance since age 13 at a dance studio. With an entrepreneurial spirit and an early passion for the arts, she launched her first photography and film production business, Funny Stuff Productions, while still in elementary school. That business has since evolved into Fine Scene Productions LLC, a full-service creative agency offering photography, film, choreography, and artist services.
Currently, Gastion is pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems at Alabama State University. Before switching her academic focus, she studied Dance as her major for three years, training extensively in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, African, and modern. She also trained at the Joffrey LA Intensive in 2023, further honing her performance and choreography skills.
Gastion has taught hip-hop, ballet, and jazz, and has choreographed and cast dancers for live productions, films, and music videos. In addition, she is the co-founder of WCI Arts for All (We Can Initiative), a nonprofit dedicated to supporting minorities and women in the visual and performing arts.
As a performer and actress, Gastion has graced major stages, appearing alongside Yolanda Adams, Pastor Mike Jr., Sheila E., Tony! Toni! Toné!, and The Blind Boys of Alabama at the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the World Games in Birmingham, Alabama. She also performed in the historic first all-Black Nutcracker in Montgomery.
Her creative work has earned recognition, with her short documentary and screendance film Black Dancers Neglecting Adversity (Black DNA) receiving multiple awards in 2022. She has also sung, danced, and acted in productions such as Dreamgirls at Alabama State University and was nominated by the Theatre and Dance Guild for Best Leading Role (Female) in Slammin’ III in 2024.
Gastion continues to expand her artistry, embracing her gifts as a singer, songwriter, and actress while offering songwriting services. Dedicated to innovation and representation, her passion lies in creating stories and movement that highlight and celebrate Black excellence.
